Greg Magnus, an insurance producer with E. R. Munro and Company, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is giving a lecture on auctioneer bonds and insurance at the Harrisburg Area Community College, Saturday, Nov. 17.
Magnus will discuss general liability, consignment coverage, business auto insurance, errors and omissions, workers compensation and provide claim examples from real auctioneer insurance claims.
“I will also talk about the state requirements for the auctioneer bond so they can obtain their auctioneer license,” said Magnus. “It’s important for auctioneers to be aware of how insurance should factor into their overall business plan.”
His lecture is part of the college’s 8-week auctioneer program in which classes focus on different topics that are important to an auctioneer’s business, including contracts, marketing, appraisals, uniform commercial codes, and more.
