Son Joins Father in Auctioneer’s Hall of Fame

Jim Roth has joined his father, Norm, as a member of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony was held during the association’s annual conference on Feb. 9.

Jim Roth joined the family business, Roth Auction Service, based in East Peoria, in 1975 after earning a business degree at Illinois State University and soon after beginning a career in real estate. He took over the daily operation of the business in 1994.

Norm Roth graduated from auction school in 1961. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1995. The Roths join Al and Terry Dunning of Elgin as father-and-son inductees into the esteemed group of professional auctioneers.

Congratulations!
